King Juan Carlos reappears to cheer on Rafa Nadal on his return to the court in Abu Dhabi

King Juan Carlos has publicly reappeared this Friday in Abu Dhabi at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship exhibition tournament to witness the match between Rafa Nadal and Andy Murray, which the Spaniard lost 6-3, 7- 5. Don Juan Carlos has occupied one of the boxes of the International Tennis Center to enjoy a meeting with great significance for the 13-time winner of Roland Garros since it has meant his return to the track after a break to recover from the injury he was carrying on his left foot. The Spanish athlete and the father of Felipe VI maintain a close friendship and King Juan Carlos, who has been living in the United Arab Emirates since August 2020, wanted to be present at an important event for Rafa.

Don Juan Carlos is a great tennis fan and it is not the first time he has attended a Rafa match. He has been on the court whenever he could, supporting him and celebrating with him the victories that have led him to become a true legend of Spanish sports. Both maintain a close relationship in which they profess a lot of affection. In fact, we were able to see how the tennis player hugged King Juan Carlos in Paris when he won the 12th Roland Garros, in July 2019. Later, he took the opportunity to thank him for his presence and his constant support through a photo together that he wanted to share with his followers. "I'm always in contact with him, wishing him luck and encouraging him," said Felipe VI's father some time ago during a Mutua Madrid Open final. In addition to Paris and Madrid, Princess Leonor's grandfather has also been applauding her in London at the Queen's tournament.
