Banco Santander was wrong and transferred million to its customers

In the middle of Christmas, a technology error put them to suffer, as they sent money from more to 2.000 corporate and commercial clients, with 75.000 transactions, as confirmed by the same bank through a statement to public opinion.

"We regret that, due to a technical problem, some payments of our corporate clients have duplicated incorrectly in the accounts of the recipients," they said.

In total, they went hand with 130 million pounds sterling, which would be 154 million euros, because they made duplicate payments of a single and regular type to suppliers and employees who receive salaries through that bank.

Bank's spokesmen also reported that, despite the error, none of the other clients ran out of money, as they have had enough support to continue supplying operations.

However, Banco Santander intends to recover all the money that turned misunderstanding: "We will work hard with many banks throughout the United Kingdom to recover duplicate transactions in the next few days".
