Products increased by up to 151 percent: IEGJ

ZAPOPAN, Jal., January 27, 2022.- When presenting the Monitoring of inflation in Jalisco by product or service carried out by the Institute of Statistical and Geographic Information of Jalisco, its owner, Augusto Valencia López, explained that comparing the first fortnight of January 2022 with the same of the previous year, the products and services that increased more than 50 percent are the lemon with 151 percent, the poblano pepper with 81.8 percent, the green tomato with 80.9 percent, the onion with 76.7 percent, the serrano pepper with 72.1 percent and the avocado with 65 percent.

“At the annual rate, there are products that have also fallen in price and they are blouses and shirts for women with 22.4 percent, beans with 19.4 percent, antibiotics with 16.6 percent, watches, jewelry and costume jewelry with 13.2 percent, equipment and audio players with 13.9 percent, haircuts with 11.7 percent, towels with 9 percent, and carrots with 8.8 percent."

This study detailed, historical and updated information on 299 generic products and services that make up the National Consumer Price Index of INEGI, Valencia López, explained that the user will be able to consult the information on a monthly and fortnightly basis of the variation in the prices of 8 Expenditure items such as beverages and tobacco, footwear and accessories, housing, furniture, household appliances and accessories, health and personal care, transportation, education and recreation, and other services.
