Children require humanized environments that make their income more enjoyable

«We have chosen these shoes for the symbology they have for us and for families, since some of the children spend a lot of time hospitalized and require humanized environments that make their stay in the hospital more enjoyable.We are sure that with these clogs we are going to get it, ”said the president of AOEEX, Isabel Rolán, in the presentation act that took place in the auditorium of the Badajoz Building XXI Century.

The physical points where they can be acquired are not yet defined, although what is certain is that they will enable an online store and that they can soon be seen around the world thanks to the collaboration of the Jaraels Group, Extremaduras specialized in the public sector, and Dian, Valencian company that is dedicated to the manufacture of labor footwear.

It all started almost a year ago with a creative fantasy workshop that aims, through plastic arts, to promote relaxation, concentration and expression of emotions in the smallest cancer patients in Extremadura.Pandemia forced them to work from home instead of in the hospital."It started being a way that they were distracted, but later, when they sent us the drawings, we saw that they were beautiful, so we set out to do something with them," said Rolán.

Almost all the creators of the illustrations were present at an event that gave them many surprises.The most special was in charge of Manuel Muñoz, contestant of the La Voz program in 2016 that toured the more than 200 kilometers that separate his native Seville from Badajoz to interpret various songs, one of them with the children surrounding their piano after receiving, asIt could not be otherwise, its own pair of clogs.Before interpreting several compositions by Antonio Orozco and Alejandro Sanz, he revealed what his health profession had made clear after so many years exercising it: "The best medicine we can deliver is the human".

Emotion

The emotion was present in the public, but also in the institutional representatives, some of whom could not prevent his voice from breaking when talking about a disease that becomes even harder to cope with when they are children who have to suffer it.Samuel Rodríguez, manager of Jaraels, was skilled by tears while describing the small participants of the project as heroes.The mayor of Badajoz, Ignacio Gragera, also had to stop speaking for several seconds when he commented on how difficult it is to live this disease directly or indirectly and the bad times through which the families that are affected by this «Lacra ».

Both advocated to allocate more resources, a request to which they joined, in one way or another, the rest of the personalities that intervened: the subdelegate of the government in Badajoz, Francisco Mendoza;the director of the Badajoz area of Ibercaja, José Luis López Morales;the vice president of the Pacense Provincial Council, Ricardo Cabezas;or the president of the Board of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, who did it through a video because his agenda did not allow him to be physically present.

The AOEEX, meanwhile, will continue working to continue offering the best and most personalized services, said Rolán: "From here I ask everyone's participation so that you join this project, because everyone can make it possible for anyone to walk alone".
