Louboutin launches Our Angels, its new footwear collection that will not go unnoticed, in which it celebrates self-acceptance and own style beyond the rules of dress according to gender.

The new generations are stepping strong - never better said - and seek to break with what is established in the world of fashion, prioritizing individuality over norms. More and more brands are echoing this trend by launching genderless collections and Louboutin has become one of them, democratizing heels and making them accessible to all genders.

"What I like about angels is that they have no gender, but they are still very sensual. It relates to so many people that I like and admire, human but heavenly, making me dream. It seemed very natural to dedicate a collection to what I have named Our Angels," says Christian Louboutin.

With this collection, the designer pays homage to the androgynous style of glam rock stars like David Bowie. During an interview in 2020, Louboutin reflected on the genderless fashion movement, leaving his opinion on the subject: "We saw this great moment where shoes have no gender. We have men who wear heels, so we have to go all the way with the size. [Gender fluidity] is not a trend. It's a deep psychological evolution."

Using leather, leopard print, velvet or satin, the collection seeks to honor those who dare to express themselves through footwear with delicate nods to haute couture made of heels, rich brocades and refined embroidery.

Our Angels has the widest range of sizes of the French firm to date, from 36 to 46 European. The collection also includes two Kypipouch bags: one in embroidered yellow satin and the other in black velvet with crystals.

Due out later this month in select Louboutin stores, the collection has been met with wide acclaim by the public, who have praised his decision to abolish social barriers of gender.
